Viral videos - do they work?

Do you think that viral videos like this can really help change people's mentalities and behaviour?

I think that viral videos are a good way to really change people's mentalities, but I also think that a viral video has to be more funny, even if it becames not serious. When someone surf on YouTube or whatever, they just don't want to cry or apologize, or they don't want their child being traumatized. When they see something which is original, weird and funny, they usually stay until the end of the video, so the message can be hear, and understand.

I think that nowadays people need to laugh, to smile, and of course change their mentalities, know better what's really going on, where they are going by the way they are building themselves, because laugh and knowledge are the most important thing human can get.
